We had the honor of speaking with retired Lt. Col. Ralph Peters today about the war on terrorrism. Ralph spent 22 years in the US Army as an enlisted man and then an officer. He is the author of numerous books including Beyond Baghdad and Beyond Terror. His new book, Never Quit The Fight is available for pre-order at Amazon.

We discussed many aspects of the war, the good and the bad. One theme that came up throughout the hour was the connection between Saddam and AlQaeda. Listener Chris from New Hampshire was nice enough to send us a few links that explain the connection,

Ralph will join us again on Sunday July 16th, in the eight o’clock hour.

  1. Thank you for posting these links.

Its upsetting hearing liberals calling up stating there are no connections between Saddam and Al Qaeda.

This is the format I use to prove them wrong.

    1. Describe the Harmony Database at the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point or Docex Project (one in the same).

Millions of documents sat deep within a warehouse that may shed some light on links between Saddam and Al Qaeda headquartered in Doha, Qatar. Recently they have been released by John Negroponte for bloggers to help translate?

Here is a good Blog from one translator JVERTAS http://iraqdocs.blogspot.com/

    2. Operation Able Danger

Information Operations Campaign Plan against transnational terrorism, “specifically al-Qaida.” According to statements by Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer and confirmed by four others, Able Danger had identified the September 11, 2001 attack leader Mohamed Atta, and three of the 9/11 plot’s 19 hijackers, as possible members of an al Qaeda cell linked to the ‘93 World Trade Center Attacks.

Same info confirmed by Laurie Mylroie and Mansoor Ijaz who were both President Clintons advisors on the Middle East.

    3.Salman Pak

A training camp on the Tigris River some 15 miles southeast of Iraq’s capital. Training is majorly on terrorism. They would be trained on assassinations, kidnapping, hijacking of airplanes, hijacking of buses, public buses, hijacking of trains and all other kinds of operations related to terrorism?

    4. After I describing the above to my brain-dead liberal friends I remind them of Resolution 1441

Resolution by the UN Security Council, passed unanimously on November 8, 2002, offering Iraq “a final opportunity to comply with its disarmament obligations” that had been set out in several previous resolutions (Resolution 660, Resolution 661, Resolution 678, Resolution 686, Resolution 687, Resolution 688, Resolution 707, Resolution 715, Resolution 986, and Resolution 1284.

    5. Then I ask them if they know about Operation Desert Fox.

Military codename for a major three-day bombing campaign on Iraqi targets from December 16-December 18, 1998 by the United States and United Kingdom. These strikes were ordered by the President Bill Clinton and were undertaken in response to Iraq’s continued failure to comply with United Nations Security Council resolutions as well as their interference with United Nations Special Commission inspectors?

  2. If liberals want to know why we need bloggers to help translate the Docex Project documents they need to look back to a Democrat bill passed by Sen. Torricelli.

We might of had more international intelligence to get more information.
