Last evening on Pundit Review Radio it was our pleasure to speak with a remarkable young man, Dylan DeSilva. Cape Cod Cares for Our Troops is a non-profit organization started by then-12 year old Dylan. He wanted to find a way to honor our soldiers for their service, dedication and sacrifices to our country. With the help of his family and friends he sends care packages to our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan on a weekly basis.

Dylan’s organization is holding a Support The Troops rally this coming Sunday, August 20th from 2-5PM at Eldredge Park in Orleans, MA.

Listen to this interview, Dylan is really a special young man.

What great work young Dylan has accomplished!

Everyone should be supporting his ‘Cape Cod Cares for our Troops’….it’s one way to show our gratitude for their sacrifices to protect our freedom.

Let’s have a huge turnout for the Rally in Orleans on Sunday!

I know I am rather partial to the outstanding efforts of this Young Marine PFC but if we take the time to think about this logically… a 13 year old young man has sent over 900 care packages to our brave men and woman who stand before our enemies and pledge their life for our way of life! That’s remarkable!!! This young man has done over 900 times what most of us have yet to consider. We buy the metal yellow magnets and display them on our cars but really, can our troops see them from where they stand? Think about this folks and may you all find inspiration from a citizen of thirteen years. Send a care package today…and too busy is no excuse…sadly, he will do it for you if you go to his website and donate. He even has paypal. $48 dollars and a member of OUR military is graced with a thank you that he or she will appreciate far more than a silly magnet. Make it happen folks!

Oh… and for the record Dylan… Stick with the Marine Corps… far be it for me to judge any of our branches as they all work hard for this country … I just happen to know…the Ladies prefer the Marines :) OOOOhRah little bro!!!

I can tell you first hand the importance of Dylan’s project as I have 2 sons serving in Iraq (1 Marine-2/7 Weapons Co., 1 Army-101st Airborne). Dylan has sent several packages to my boys and I know how much they appreciate what he has done and what he continues to do. The DeSilva family is the best!! I live in Iowa and wish I could be closer to attend your events. I have said many times that the kindness of strangers has been what gets me thru the day during this most difficult time. We should all be so lucky to have someone like Dylan come into our lives and support us during one of our most difficult experiences. God Bless you Dylan, you are one special one man. I will keep you in my prayers when you start your life as a Marine.

[...] Gregg and I got to know Dylan through the radio show and tonight we met this impressive young man for the first time. We were lucky enough to be there along with Dylan’s parents, Paul and Michelle, his sister, brother, aunt and uncle. Dylan also brought with him some of the soldiers and Marines who received care packages from Cape Cod Cares 4 The Troops who are now back home and helping his group. [...]
