Kieran Lalor for Congress

By Kevin

KML2008

We had an exciting, up and coming candidate for Congress join us on Sunday evening. His name is Kieran Michael Lalor and he is running in the 19th district in NY to unseat the faded pop star John Hall (remember the band Orleans? Me neither!) . You can check out just how liberal Congressman Hall is here.

Kieran is a man of character and integrity with a great personal story that demonstrates a committment to family, community and country. Kieran is the founder of Iraq Veterans for Congress, a group of Republican Iraq war veterans running for Congress.

We’ve heard from several listeners already who wanted to learn more about Kieran and contribute to his campaign. His web site is here and you can make a contribution here.

All of our interviews are also available for download at iTunes and Podcast Alley via the Pundit Review Radio Podcast.

It’s funny you call John Hall “liberal” when he seems to as middle-of-the-road as they come.

    Mike,

Not to go all Joe Pesci on you, but funny how? All I did was look at his voting record,

\”2007 Representative Hall supported the interests of the Americans for Democratic Action 100 percent in 2007.\”

If a liberal advocacy group gives someone a 100% rating, I\’m pretty comfortable calling them a liberal.

There was also his 0 rating from the Club for Growth, a conservative advocacy group on economic issues.

His record is pretty clear, and its not middle of the road.

    Kevin

I generally make determinations on my own for how someone is voting in Congress rather than depend on outside agencies with axes to grind.

But have it your way and all the work John Hall has done on veteran’s issues in the Hudson Valley, accomplished in a year, where Sue Kelly had more than a decade, could well be lost and that would be a shame.

Actually, as I look back over his record, he’s done quite a bit to help local communities deal with other issues as well like water resources and flooding and wetlands mitigation.

Liberal. Conservative. These are words you use when life has to be organized into neat little boxes and not taken for the complex web it is.

Mike - If you think John Hall is middle of the road, you must not have noticed that every time he needs money, he looks to Soros and Sarandon and David Crosby. That is the Congressman who votes in Congress (http://kml2008.com/PR_Hall_cancel_Crosby_Concert.htm ); it is not the same guy who pretends to be pro veteran when he’s home in the District. He does enjoy photo ops with 4′ by 6′ cardboard checks but we can give him a pass for that. What we can’t forgive is his using his first words on the floor of Congress in 1/2007 saying that we cannot win in Iraq. We can’t forgive his refusal to defend Gen. Petraeus until he finally offered a ham-handed, half-hearted slap on the wrist to his benefactors at MoveOn after Kieran shamed him into it. And we can’t forget his associations with Jane Fonda or his illegal trip to Cube, neither of which he’s ever bothered to explain.

The man stands for nothing and is parading around the Hudson Valley pretending he cares a whit about veterans precisely because he knows that’s the image he needs to create. But again, that is not the same person who actually casts votes in Washington.
