Ssgt. Anthony Viggiani was my Senior Drill Instructor at MCRD Parris Island. He was by far the most influential person to me in the Marine Corps. I only heard of him being awarded the Navy Cross at the time I did not know the importance and the honor in that nor did i know his story until after graduating boot camp. Now more than ever I feel honored to have been trained by him and i will never forget him and now the things that he sacrificed for our country.
