that Joementum takes over and Lieberman wins. I just think the people of CT will get inside the voting booth and say to themselves, “It sure was great to put a scare into old Joe, but I just can’t pull the trigger for this pandering empty suit Ned Lamont.”

There you have it. CT saves the Democrat Party from Jumping the Shark.

    Chiming in again…

Americans have tired of war, especially one based on lies and manipulation, and this feeling is likely to be manifested in the defeat of Joe Lieberman. Many votes for the relative unknown, Ned Lamont, will simply be votes against Lieberman and, more widely, the Bush administration agenda of endless war and fearmongering.

Welcome back John. You may well be right. We’ll know by breakfast. it just have a hunch, the polls have closed in recent days and I think many people will think twice before pulling the lever.

While state sponsored FOX News so desperately wanted one of their fellow neo-cons to win, CT Democrats did the right thing and voted against a man intent on continuing war. Aligning yourself to close to a globally reviled war criminal has consequences, as Joe Lieberman has now found out.

Yo John. Just because you get tired of something, does not allow you to be blinded to the reality of it. Well, I guess you can go ahead and be blinded. I would just hate to wake up one day to another attack, even if they got you. That is not in me.

I do not understand why the people on the Left hate so much. Do you agree with the Jihadis? Hmm…

I’m not on the Left, Rosemary, and I don’t involve myself in the left vs. right squabbles. Why does Ann Coulter hate so much? Why did you call Bill an idiot in another post? The hate is on both sides, Rosemary.

Rosemary, you really need to understand that everything your government tells you is not true. At least accept this possibility please.

Looks like the war in Iraq is a legitimate 2006 campaign issue– but we’ll have to see if there is an effect in general elections (not primaries) and in other regions of the country.

The fall horse races will be very interesting.

Speaking of horse races, Kevin– I’m going to hold off on taking any hot tips from you at Suffolk Downs for a while
