A little information on David Horowitz, who has teamed up with Lynne Cheney in an attempt to stifle dissent over Bush administration policies on campuses across America.
“Operations directed by David Horowitz are the most prominent public face of the current campaignâ??as in Pennsylvaniaâ??for a gestapo on campuses to squash opposition to the Bush-Cheney policies.
Horowitz launched his current political career in 1987 as a participant in John Train’s project (the first initiative of the Northcote Parkinson Foundation) against the IPS on behalf of the London/Dulles/Angleton/Bush/Buckley side of the intelligence world. Horowitz wrote the introduction to the 1988 book, Covert Cadre, which resulted from the Train project.
With these connections, Horowitz launched, in 1987-88, the Los Angeles-based Center for the Study of Popular Culture, now known as the David Horowitz Freedom Center. This was to be the West Cost pole for the culture war headed by Lynne Cheney at the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). John Train’s backer, Michael Joyce, and his Bradley Foundation, have provided the main funding for Horowitz’s Center.”

Not surprisingly, Horowitz is a regular on FOX News, the administration’s most erstwhile propaganda outlet. Republican operatives and admnistration water-carriers such as Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity have dedicated much airtime to ridiculing and denouncing any campus voices opposed to the administration.

Yeah, John. How’s that whole “stifling dissent” thing working out for Horowitz? You NEVER hear any anti Bush sentiment expressed on our college campuses, right? Like those open minded, tolerant future leaders at Columbia. Larouche? Dude, move out of moms basement, ok?

Rob, the idea is that campuses are hotbeds of dissent that need to be quelled. The Horowitz campaign is designed to purge the dissent through putting pressure on the dissenting voices, whether professors or students. FOX News has joined this campaign.
Larouche is an honest man who has been slandered and imprisoned because he is a threat to the current political and economic power structure. The media and both parties (even his own Democratic party) ignore him for this reason. He has persevered despite the massive propaganda campaign against him.

Jesus, John. Get a clue, would you please? College campuses today are a cesspool of liberal indoctrination, groupthink and utter intolerance for differing viewpoints…basically liberal moonbat assembly-lines. Horowitz is trying to inject some small measure of BALANCE into a world that is supposed to be open-minded and inquisitive, and all of a sudden he’s trying to stifle dissent? If that’s his goal, I’d have to say he’s not doing a very good job. A little perspective, please?
By the way, didn’t that “honest” man Larouche do time for some kind of credit card rip-off scam? Wait…let me guess…he was set up, right?

I haven’t visited every college campus, so I can’t verify your comment. There is absolutely indoctrination in the schools, but I think it transcends just so-called liberal or conservative ideologies. Horowitz wants to censor anti-administration voices, not just inject balance. This is concerning, and censorship of any free voice should be condemned.
Was Larouche framed? Very possible and likely probable.

The youngsters do not remember, or are not allowed to know who David Horowitz is…he was a LEADER like a JANE FONDA of the Leftists radicalizing ours schools and colleges starting in the 60’s. The Brilliant Students on campuses today are being taught by Jane’s Followers and ARE NOT HEARING MR. HOROWITZ..or who he was at the least. MAY I SUGGEST THAT EVERYONE OF THE GENIUSES WE AREPRODUCING IN ELITE SCHOOLS TAKE A TRIP TO YALE AND ACCESS THE VERONA PAPERS…perhaps then, and only then,you will see WHAT WAS GOING ON IN OUR WORLD DURING THE COLD WAR..AND REALIZE THAT YOU BRILLAINT NAIVE AND GULLIBLE “STUDENTS” HAVE A LOT TO LEARN!
