Ted Soresnson, the famed JFK speechwriter, is claiming that Barack Obama is the heir to the JFK legacy. Outside of being handsome, young and inexperienced, they have nothing in common.
JFK was FAR more conservative than Barack Obama is. Democrats never cease to amaze me with their lack of self-awareness of how far left they have moved since the days of JFK. They are unrecognizable. On tax issues, foreign policy and social issues. Obama is a lot closer to Ted K than JFK.
At some point the public, and maybe even the media, will move on from the Barack narrative about how “new” and “fresh” and “exciting” he is. They will, eventually, focus on what he is saying and what its implications are.
I consider myself a conservative person. Not a political conservative, but a conservative person. When I see stories like these two below about Barack Obama and the other Dems running for president, I can’t help but think that they have no idea how outside the mainstream of America this stuff is. They are throwing out 50% in the middle to appease 5% on the fringe.
Can you imagine JFK advcoting for tax hikes, retreat in the face of our enemies, sex ed for kindergarten and universal health care for abortions?

ABC News’ Teddy Davis and Lindsey Ellerson Report: Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., told Planned Parenthood Tuesday that sex education for kindergarteners, as long as it is “age-appropriate,” is “the right thing to do.”

Democrats pledge support for wide access to abortion
WASHINGTON — Elizabeth Edwards said Tuesday that her husband’s health-care plan would provide insurance coverage of abortion.
Barack Obama gave a politics as usual answer that had to be later clarified and confirmed by his press people.
Asked about his proposal for expanded access to health insurance, Obama said it would cover “reproductive-health services.” Contacted afterward, an Obama spokesman said that included abortions.
And then there’s Obama’s voting record,
Senator Obama supported the interests of the Planned Parenthood 100 percent in 2006.
2005 Senator Obama supported the interests of the National Taxpayers Union 6 percent in 2005.
2005 Senator Obama supported the interests of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce 39 percent in 2005.
2005 Senator Obama supported the interests of the National Education Association 100 percent in 2005.
2005 Senator Obama supported the interests of the Gun Owners of America 0 percent in 2005.
Bill Clinton certainly wasn’t their heir to JFK, at least outside the bedroom, and neither is Barack Obama.
You have to buy in fully to the MSM narrative and ignore an awful lot of, you know, evidence, to delude yourself into thinking that Barack Obama is the heir to the JFK legacy.
