Time’s Person of the Year: the choice has never been so obvious

It’s that time of year, let the guessing game begin. Who will be Time Magazine’s Person of the Year?

The incredibly self absorbed Brian Williams of NBC News has submitted his politically correct nomination,

My nominee for 2007 Person of the Year is a woman–a woman with a history of abuse, a woman who has never run for elective office, someone we all know, someone who makes her presence known on a daily basis in all our lives and, for my money, is better than any male alternative. That woman is Mother Earth. I think the environment is the compelling issue of our time.

I don’t know what direction Time will go, but I know what direction they should go.

For me, there has never been an easier choice. It is so obvious who should be Person of the Year. It should be somone whose leadership, smarts and integrity have made a huge impact. Someone whose charatcer is unimpeachable. Well, almost unimpeachable, right Hillary? Someone who, in less than a year, has pulled off what was said to be impossible.

There seems to be a conspiracy of Kevin’s coming to the same conclusion (Kevin Price wrote about this at http://www.BizPlusBlog.com). You both seem to be saying so without debate.

Why do you think that the nominees are all over the map? There seems to be no method to the madness.
