Someone You Should Know: Major William Chesarek
Bruce McQuain from QandO joined us for another edition of Someone You Should Know. The Someone You Should Know radio collaboration began as an extension of Matt Burden’s series at Blackfive. Thanks to Matt, Bruce is now on board and we are lucky to have him as part of the show.
Bruce told us about Major William Chesarek Jr., a U.S. Marine who received the British Distinguished Flying Cross.
Chesarek made a daring choice: he dove into the gun battle, flying as low as possible to draw the enemy’s attention away from the troops on the ground. The tactic worked – even as it endangered Chesarek’s helicopter.

Will did a wonderful job. It should also be noted that his lovely wife is a military veteran US Navy Nurse corps, and his father in law is a multiple Purple Heart award winner with the United States Marine Corps. As a matter of fact the entire family young an old are currently serving or are veterans.
A stellar example of patriotic Americans. These folks speaks with actions rather than with words.
