We’ve been following Dylan Desilva and his organization Cape Cod Cares For Our Troops for about four years now. Every year Dylan hosts his big two-day fundraiser in Hyannis featuring all branches of the military. For the past two years I had the pleasure of taking the entire family. It is quite an event. Unfortunately I was not on the Cape this year, but I did get to speak to Dylan tonight and hear how the first day went. For starters, he raised $12,000 in cash donations. Did I mention that Dylan is 16 years old?

Pundit Review Radio is where the old media meets the new. Each week we give voice to the work of the most influential leaders in the new media/citizen journalist revolution. A couple of weeks ago we welcomes back to the show 16 year old Dylan DeSilva, the founder of Cape Cod Cares For Our Troops. Dylan has raised more than $250,000 this year in cash and goods. He has sent thousands of care packages to the troops overseas. Dylan gave us a preview of his Christmas Drive and told us his goal was to prepare 400 care packages.
Tonight Dylan’s mom Michelle called to give us an update on the Christmas Drive. Not only did they meet their goal, the finished 500 care packages. Michelle was overwhelmed by the generosity of the people on the Cape. Even in these tough economic times, people step up to support the troops.
Congratulations to Michelle, Dylan and everyone associated with Cod Cares For Our Troops. If you would like to support them, you can contact them at,

Our friend from Cape Cod Cares for Our Troops, 15-year old Dylan DeSilva, was recently profiled on NECN as his great organization prepared to send their 3,000 care package to the troops. What an incredible young man.
Dylan is hard at work getting ready for his annual Memorial Day rally on Cape Cod. I had the pleasure of attending last year, and what this young man pulled off was truly incredible. I hear he is planning an even bigger event this year.
Congratulations and thank you Dylan for all you do.
Tonight I welcomed back Dylan DeSilva, the incredible 15 year old behind Cape Cod Cares for Our Troops. Dylan told Bruce McQuain and I about his recent trip to Bethesda Naval Hospital and his recent event in P-Town.

Dylan DeSilva, the young man who founded Cape Cod Cares for the Troops, continues to impress with his tireless dedication to the men and women in uniform. I’ve said it many times in the past, on the blog and on the radio, this is the most impressive young man I’ve ever met.
Dylan recently made another trip to Washington DC to visit with wounded troops. He went to Bethesda Naval Hospital and also attended a Wounded Warrior Reception. Dylan is planning yet another support the troops rally on Cape Cod, this time in Provincetown. Having attended one of Dylan’s events in the past, it is really a sight to see.
Sunday December 2nd from 12:30 to 3:30.
The Provinctown Schools wanted to host a rally for Cape Cod Cares for the Troops, so together we have planned another great rally. The Opening Ceremony will be at 1:00, followed by a few guest speakers, music, send a few video message to the troops, write out a Christmas Card to be sent in the care packages, free face painting/tatoos for the kids and of course we will be accepting
items for care packages!!! Be there and be part of our
“Cape Cod Supports You” photo, this photo will be sent in all our Christmas Care Packages.
We hope to see you there and if you would like to help or participate in anyway please email me. Thanks again for all your support.
From,
Dylan and everyone at Cape Cod Cares for the Troops

I had the pleasure of attending a Support The Troops rally in Hyannis this past Memorial Day weekend. This was no ordinary event. It was organized by 14-year old Dylan DeSilva, founder of Cape Cod Cares for Our Troops. Dylan is an inspirational young man. He was recently honored as a Hero Among Us by the Boston Celtics. As you can see from this event, which was attended by more than 500 people and raised well in excess of $18,000, he is very deserving of the recognition. Congratulations Dylan on another great event, and thank you for everything you are doing to support the troops.

Feature Interview: Snowball: Warren Buffett and the business of life
Alice Schroeder has scored one of the most coveted assignments in financial journalism, writing the first authorized biography of the world’s greatest investor and one of its richest men, Warren Buffett. This is no fawning profile of a sainted figure. This is the warts and all story of a very complex human being. As much as there is to admire about Warren Buffett the investor, his personal life leaves a lot to be desired.
