Yes, only because of a New York Daily News tidbit do we know that Bronx-based Gloria Wise Boys and Girls Club nearly shut down major programs recently, because almost $500,000 in governmental grant money was instead diverted to Air America’s liberal radio network.

So, the right has finally figured out that Evan Cohen was a crook, only 2 years before AAR (too late themselves) figured it out. Is there anyone else here that has any experience with financial impropriety by a radio network–or station–backer?
As far as what happened to the funds, it does not appear that the facts have been aired yet. AAR’s statement is more than a little obscure, but a strict reading indicates that those assets were not inherited in th sale. True? I don’t know. Have the funds been paid back by AAR in some manner? Unclear as of yet.
Equalizer seems to be judging tha lack of AAR response by looking at the show rundowns online. Might want to try listening, I promise your ears won’t bleed.
So unlike some I will wait to see where this goes before judging. In the absence of actual facts I’m sure NewsMax, Mallard Fillmore and other Pulitzer winners-in-waiting will have fun with it (well, “fun” is a curious word to use in the same sentence with Mallard).
