LA Times columnist: I don’t support the troops

The left is beyond parody at this point.

Warriors and wusses

Column by Joel Stein

I DON’T SUPPORT our troops. This is a particularly difficult opinion to have, especially if you are the kind of person who likes to put bumper stickers on his car. Supporting the troops is a position that even Calvin is unwilling to urinate on.

I’m sure I’d like the troops. They seem gutsy, young and up for anything. If you’re wandering into a recruiter’s office and signing up for eight years of unknown danger, I want to hang with you in Vegas.

Please read the whole thing. Once you pick yourself off the floor, let him know how you feel by sending him an email,

thejoelstein@yahoo.com

He’s not alone, here is more sickening moral equivalence from the Kos Crazies,

Traditional America’s biggest enemy: Bush or Bin Laden?

Who is traditional America’s biggest enemy? Honorable, decent, traditional Americans value liberty, justice, freedom, tolerance and accountable government.

Both of these men are opposed to those values. Both of those men have attacked those values. But who is in a position to harm America more?

To date Bin Laden has murdered around 3,000 Americans. Bush has sent over 2,000 soldiers to their deaths for lies and stood by while hundreds of Americans died in the aftermath of Katrina in Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi.

But beyond the body count, what harms are they causing. Bin Laden’s terror groups have had a huge economic impact on the west (including America) as money is spent on security. Bin Laden preaches an intolerant and belligerant form of a religion.

However Bush and the Republicans have whittled away basic human rights in America. They’ve stood by as our Health Care system continues to crumble and as the number of poor and at-risk members of society continues to grow.

And check out this poll over at Kos asking who you despise more, Bush or Bin laden.

What a pathetic bunch of losers.

UPDATE
: If you thought LA Times columnist Joel Stein was a complete moron before, read this interview he did with Hugh Hewitt today. I have never had less respect for anyone in my life.

OK, I’ll throw it out there because we’re all going to find out soon enough. If you think 19 Arabs directed by former CIA asset Osama Bin Laden were behind 9/11, guess again.

  2. Dumb and Dumber

Hugh Hewitt’s interview with Joel Stein, made available by Radio Blogger, is hilarious or sad or some kind of combination of the two.

  3. Joel Stein VERSUS the USA Military

Joel Stein, an editorial writer for the Lost Angeles Times, has hit a new low. I will put him up against anyone in our Military, including the ladies. He wouldn’t stand a chance.

    John,

Please let us know who was behind 9/11 if your so damn smart. The Jews? George Bush? Come on, share this ‘inside information’ you claim to have.

  5. John says:

People like me who remain skeptical of the official 9/11 story have been deemed wacky conspiracy theorists. The mainstream media (see Tucker Carlson’s condescending interview with Professor Steven Jones) promotes this idea because they are in bed with the government. People ridicule and berate me because the claim that our government murdered 3,000 of its own citizens is frankly disturbing to them. They’d rather deny everything I say than critically research the facts themselves. I have no “inside information” but rather an open mind. I can’t go into all that I have researched, but I can tell you to start with PNAC (the need for a “new Pearl Harbor”), connect the dots to the 9/11 Commission sham, and follow the money trail in this post-9/11 world. Who has benefited from non-stop war as a result of 9/11 (research the military industrial complex)? Very carefully research Bush 41’s life (especially his CIA ties). He still pulls a lot of strings today. Understand that the Democrats put up a front as an opposition party, but under the surface they support the same master as the Republicans. Most importantly, use your intuition. This is a gift that we all have. You’ll soon understand the hypocrisy of starting war for the sake of achieving peace. The hypocrisy of sending young men and women off to die in foreign lands while the government abandons the poor and helpless in New Orleans. The hypocrisy of stripping away constitutionally awarded rights for the sake of national security. Most of all, you’ll understand that fear is the most powerful weapon of our rulers. This administration uses fear as a weapon against us (see Condi and her mushroom cloud comment). What I say is upsetting, and it is not my attention to upset anyone. Therefore, I will no longer comment. My purpose of stirring the pot is to get us Americans to think more critically about our present situation. Thanks.

    John,

Better make sure that tinfoil hat is securely in place. Wouldn’t want the aliens reading, or is it stealing, your brainwaves. Thank God we have adults running this country.

  8. Administrator says:

    John,

The one glaring detail that was missing from your crackpot conspiracy theory was just that- actual substantiated “details.” You can theorize all you want. But I guess we’ll just have to wait to find out, according to you, who “the real people behind” 9-11 were. O.J. has, of course, comissioned a team to find the “real killers.” While you’re wasting time “waiting” we’ll be supporting the war effort and general Bush Doctrine and War on Islamo-Facsim until all the throat cutters are with their 72 virgins….Your “open mind” is gonna get us all killed.
