Agenda driven journalism at the Washington Post

By Kevin
Topics:
Media Bias

Tim Graham over at The Corner makes an interesting observation,

The Washington Post did their original front-page Monday news story on Quailgate? Check. Today, another front-page story questioning the slow alerting of the media? Check. Outraged unsigned Post editorial? Check. Outraged column by liberal Eugene Robinson? Check. Two Style section pieces to lead off the Beltway buzz? Check.

Anything on Al Gore’s America-bashing speech in Saudi Arabia? Not in the paper, yesterday or today.

Repeat after me…agenda driven journalism. They cover what fits their agenda, and blow right past those stories that don’t.

I cannot tell you how outraged I was to hear this last weekend. The utter bullshit that spews forth from this imbecileâ??s mouth is amazing. Apologizing for the round up of Arab’s following 9/11, WHAT?!! How ’bout you dirty fucking Arabs apologize for 9/11. And telling them he would like to reinstate that bullshit program that allows faster issuance of visas to Arabs. Can someone please remind AL that 15 of the terrorists who carried out 9/11 entered the US using that very same program. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the event in Saudi was sponsored by Bin Laden’s family. That fucking loathsome piece of garbage will take money from anyone and the only people left on the planet who would even consider giving Al any cash are related to Bin Laden.

Talk about a story. Where is the MSM? It amazes me what passes for “news” these days. Just another example of liberal media bias.

Fer Chrissakes! The Washington Times is even worse. Yet I have to hear a peep from you about how agenda driven the Washington Times is. The WashTimes NEVER EVER features one moderate or liberal writer. Never. Ever.
The WaPo at least publishes right-wing columnists.

You see, the reason all conservatives are failures in life and in politics is that they just don’t understand the old axiom: What’s good for the Goose is good for the Gander.
Conservatives are self-centered. They think that what’s good for them is good for their neighbor and is good for their country and good for the world. They’re wrong, of course.
But they are genetically defective –missing the element of human personality that allows a human to understand what another person is experiencing in the abstract. Conservatives just can’t do it.

This genetic defect is responsible for the worst of human disasters. Hitler, Stalin, Mao… all equally incapable of empathy. Today,
the entire Bush cabinet is a good example.
Some might object and say that Mao and
Stalin were not conservatives. . . well, they forced others to think and act in a certain way. THAT’S CONSERVATIVE! There is nothing more orthodox than a Sean Hannity, a Bill Frist, a Pat Robertson, a Fred Phelps!

If conservatives are failures at politics, what does that make Democrats?

Hmmm…if Republicans are such political failures, how would you explain your inability to gain in political arenas such as the House, the Senate or the White House? If that is the new definition of failure, then sign me up. I hope you are a young person so that when you get older history will show GWB as one of the best Presidents of all time. It only took 20 years for the Dems to fall on their knees for Reagan.

As far as failures in life, I’m really not sure how you define that. Please don’t tell me we’re not the party of the rich because we’re failures. Makes no sense. Again, you have nothing. We have the House, the Senate, the White House and very successful careers.

Some guys have all the luck and some guys are Dan in Baltimore, or Al Gore.
