Karl Rove’s return to the grand jury today could mean the end of the Rove investigation or the beginning of the Rove prosecution.
Rove’s Lawyer an On-the-Record Liar
Rove�??s lawyer is now an on-the-record liar. The proof: Luskin told the Washington Post the other day that if Rove escapes indictment, it won�??t be �??the product of my particular skill or cleverness.�?� Whenever prominent Washingtonians resort to humility in print, they are lying at minimum about their state of mind. Luskin�??s lie runs deeper than that. The truth is Rove is not yet indicted exclusively because of his lawyer�??s �??particular skill.�?�
As usual, Luskin has said nothing that is inconsitent with Rove being indicted. But it usually takes the MSM a news cycle or two to figure that out.
If no one RSVPs to Fitzgerald’s invitations, look for indictments as early as next week. If anyone does sit down with Fitzgerald, he will probably have to move to extend the grand jury, which now has only thirteen working days left in its term. Prediction: at least three high level Bush Administration personnel indicted and possibly one or more very high level unindicted co-conspirators.

All the judges who have seen the prosecutor�??s secret evidence firmly believe he is pursuing a very serious crime, and they have done everything they can to help him get an indictment.
Rove’s “I Did Not Inhale” Defense
In a huge admission to Newsweek and the Los Angeles Times, Luskin confessed that, well, yes, Rove did talk to Cooper. It is a huge admission in a case where Rove and Luskin have never, before Friday, felt compelled to say a word about Rove’s contact with Cooper or anyone else involved in the case.

Democrats have been claiming for years that the Bush tax cuts “were for the rich”.
How is it then that those making over $200,000 now pay 46.6% of total income taxes, up from 40.5% before the tax cuts?
Some other tax news that demonstrates the Democrats political pandering has them, again, on the wrong side of the issue,
2006 tax receipts up 12.9%
According to the Office of Management and Budget, tax receipts have risen faster over the past 8 months of fiscal 2006 than in any other such period over the past 25 years – except for last year’s jump of 15.5%
Corporate income taxes are up 20% over a year ago.
The defecit shrunk by a whopping 16.8%
Next time you hear a Democrat asking “how are we going to pay for these tax cuts”, simply respond, “like we have every other time broad across the board income tax cuts have been implemented (by Republicans), with greater economic activity and growth, hence more tax receipts to the federal government.”

A substantial part of the Democratic Party, some of its politicians and many of its loudest supporters do not want America to succeed in Iraq. So vitriolic and all-consuming is their hatred for George W. Bush that they skip right over the worthy goals we have been, with some considerable success, seeking there — a democratic government, with guaranteed liberties for all, a vibrant free economy, respect for women — and call this a war for oil, or for Halliburton.
Successes are discounted, setbacks are trumpeted, the level of American casualties is treated as if it were comparable to those in Vietnam or World War II. Allegations of American misdeeds are repeated over and over; the work of reconstruction and aid of American military personnel and civilians is ignored.
In all this they have been aided and abetted by large elements of the press.
