Obama’$ $pending plan$
My previous post has left some wondering if I am supporting Obama. No way. I am celebrating his whupping of the Clinton’s however. Their demise is good for the party and the country. That said, Obama is WAY too liberal for me, and on the issue I care about most, the war against Islamo fascism, he has the potential to be a disaster.
When to comes to taxes and spending, he seems to love both. The RNC has just launched its OBAMA SPEND-O-METER as a way of tracking his campaign proposals.
If Obama Could Enact All Of His Campaign Proposals, Taxpayers Would Be Faced With Financing Over $850 Billion In New Spending Over One White House Term.
Check out the specifics here.
I listened to his victory speech last night more convinced than ever that this guy is no JFK. JFK wanted people to think what they could do for their country. Obama’s proposing the opposite, imagine what your country can do for you.
I am on vacation this week and will have much more in the coming days as Obama cements his lead over Billary.

Answer me this, how can you use this as an argument after the wild spending under the Bush administration?
Care to reason away Bush indiscretions?
I\’ve said many times Bush has spent like a big government liberal (like Obama). The perscription drug bill is a joke, for example. His tax cuts have brought in record revenue to the Treasury, but they have spent it as fast as it has come in. The GOP got swept out in 2006 because of spending and earmarks, IMHO. Bush is a big spender for a so-called conservative. Obama is a big spender for a big gov\’t lib, which is even more scary.

Yeah, let’s blast Obama for trying to spend $850 billion to kickstart the economy. Better to instead spend $3 trillion (more than .5 trillion on a war that does nothing but drain from the economy).

Only problem the neocons have with budgeting is that they can’t count.
